Payment
All weekly payments for childcare are due on Monday's for that week's service-no exceptions.
If you pay monthly it is due on the first.
Failure to pay will cancel your child's enrollment.
There is a $25.00 return check fee.

Policy for Collecting Children
All parents are to come to the front office to collect their child of children. No one is to enter the facility area through fenced playground or back doors. Children are to exit only through the front door and the teacher is to be made aware of a child leaving for the day. Parents must check children in and out through the front office.
If someone different is to pickup your child, parents must notify staff at the front desk in advance and give the person's driver license number for ID. The person must sign the child or children out. No one under the age of 16 can pickup a child. If anyone comes to pick up a child without prior notice, staff will contact the parent for permission before handing over the child. If a parent can not be contacted the child will not be released. Legal documents outlining custody and visitation must be presented on file in order for the center to properly uphold the court orders.

Medication
If possible give medication at home. However, if this is not possible you will need to complete the medication book located in the office. Give the medication to the staff with the child's name and data on the original container. The medication must appropriate for the child's age and weight and administered as directed on the bottle or have signed instructions from a doctor. No expired or out of date medication will be given.
If your child is ill and/or running a fever please do not bring him or her to the center. If your child has an illness that is contagious to others, please notify the center at once (this is very important for the health and safety of others). Your child may return when the child is fever free and with a well note from the doctor. Re-admittance to the center will be at the discretion of the director.

Accident Procedure
Small accidents, bumps, etc. are dealt with by childcare staff and are recorded and an accident form is sent home with the child. First Aid kits are kept in the childcare center and on all childcare vehicles. Medical release forms are taken with all children on all outings. Any other accidents or illness, parents will be notified and arrangements will be made for the child to be picked up to go to the doctor or nearest hospital. At least one staff will accompany a child by ambulance for medical treatment.

Discipline Policy
Discipline is to teach not to punish.
When children behave in an unacceptable manner, staff will intervene appropriately taking in account of the age and stage of development of individual children. Staff will not shout at or physically punish children.
Any concerns regarding a child's behavior will be discussed with parents in an effort to help the child and family. Parents are welcome to raise concerns with member of staff.
Premier Learning Center should serve children who are able to function successfully in a group setting. If, in the judgement of the Center, a child is not able to function in a group setting, or the Center's program is not able to meet the needs of a particular child, the Center may ask the family to withdraw the child.
We believe strongly in working through challenges that a child may be having. Termination from the Center is rarely used as a last resort when all possibilities of meeting the child and family's needs in conjunction with the needs of the Center have been exhausted.

Rest Time
Regulations require us to provide a rest time as part of our program. Rest is necessary after a busy morning of activities because from rest the mind is refreshed, the body muscles are relaxed and tension is less likely to occur. Rest time enables children's energy to be restored and mental alertness to be rejuvenated.

Moving
It is your responsibility to notify the office of any changes to personal information such as address, phone numbers, custody orders, job changes, etc. All appropriate papers are updated and placed in the child's file.

Holiday Closings
Premier Learning Center will be closed on the following major holiday to give our staff a much needed and deserved rest. New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and day after, and Christmas Day.
If you have a job that requires you to work on any of these days, please make arrangements in advance for care of your child or children.

Snow and Ice Days
We will follow the W.I.S.D. school closing for bad weather. Please watch the local news station for closing announcements.

Clothing and Personal Items
Please dress your child in weather appropriate clothing with closed toed shoes. Please no sandals or flip-flops. We will go outside everyday weather permitting. Please send extra change of clothing and underwear for accidents and spills. They can be put in a plastic bag and placed in your child's cubby in his or her classroom. Be sure to label all items with your child's name on it. This helps us in finding misplaced items and quickly returning them to their owner.

Snack and Meals
A light snack and beverage will be served mid-morning and mid-afternoon to all children. A hot lunch is served everyday and will meet all Nutritional Standards. Meals are served in the classroom family style, this promotes a non-stressful environment and caregivers can reinforce good table manners. Please notify the office of any food allergies. Parents of infants are expected to provide food and bottles for their little one.

Thank you so much for enrolling your child in our center, we know you have a choice when it comes to childcare.
